It’s coming up to the end of the year and so it’s likely that you will be invited to a lot of parties in a business capacity and also in a social capacity as well. You clearly want to look your best for these occasions and now that you have a couple of months to get yourself into shape then it might be time to start thinking about shedding those excess pounds and getting that lean body back that you used to have. I am of course talking about signing up for membership at a Richmond Gym because once you have paid for it, you definitely will want to get your money’s worth and so you will be reluctant to sit at home knowing that you have spent money on this fantastic gym membership and it is just going to waste. Before any of this begins however, you probably need some tips to help you get into shape and to also reach your fitness goals.

  • Make it easy on yourself – The vast majority of people who want to get into great shape again 10 to start too quickly and they try too hard and they end up injuring themselves which may put them back weeks. You need to have a talk with yourself and figure out what it is that you want to commit to and what it is that you don’t want to do as part of your new lifestyle and your new diet and fitness routine.   • Pick achievable goals – Don’t just say that you’re going to run 10 km every single day if you haven’t been out running in a number of years because this is something that you just won’t be able to achieve any even if you do the first time, you’re going to be so sore the next day that this will completely de-motivate you and you might not continue onwards.
  • Take your gym membership seriously – You have paid for it and you have also made a commitment to the gym that you will turn up and that you will work out. You need to treat this like you would any business meeting that you have promised to attend and you just can’t not turn up because the individual at the gymnasium who is taking special care of you, will be waiting for you and they will be massively disappointed when you don’t turn up.

It is also incredibly important that you do workouts that you enjoy and so talk to the person at your local gymnasium and tell them that you only want to do exercises on specific pieces of equipment. Getting into shape should be fun and so make sure that you are doing exercise that you genuinely love to do.
