These days, more and more of us are making time for ourselves, which is a great thing. Taking some time out of every day to check in with ourselves and focus on our own well being is very important. We’ve all seen multivitamins and other supplements on the shelves of pharmacies, supermarkets, and health food shops, but what do they do? They will show you how your heart is affected by sleep, how rested you are, what is causing your tiredness, whether you should exercise today, and more. They are truly amazing for anyone who wants to improve their fitness.

Self-care is not just about physical health but also about mental health. Often, this has been forgotten by many people, as they rush through life caring more about physical improvement or financial success. Taking the time to write in a self-care journal has been shown to massively improve mental health while relieving anxieties and stresses. These journals are designed to have different sections each day, helping you focus on positives or break down negatives in your mind. Writing things out on paper is cathartic and can definitely help improve your overall mental health.

Finally, alongside wearable tech, we’ve all got smartphones these days. This means we have access to an app store that’s packed full of wellness apps. For example, there are scores of free apps providing free or cheap meditation programs, meaning you can get 10-15 minutes of calm into your day using just your phone and headphones. 

Another highly sought-after app is a food tracker. Using a food and nutrition tracking app is super easy. You scan or weigh your food, add it to your daily intake, and follow the numbers. These apps will tell you if you’re overeating carbs, fats, or protein, while many also offer free recipes and nutrition advice. Perfect for physical wellness.
